Since our founding in 1980 we have strived to create delicious,
nutritious soy products that were lightly processed using traditional
methods. Our goal is to produce the best tasting and textured products
possible based on nutritious, high quality ingredients that people
can easily understand. For our Soy Proteins we rely on products
like Tofu and Tempeh which we believe are more nutritious, better
textured and more environmentally friendly than the high tech soy
powders, isolates and concentrates used by most companies these
days.
Because we are an independent, family owned
business, we are able to do things unthinkable in large, corporate
environments. When
we create a product, our number one goal is to create the best
tasting and textured product possible. If this means doing things
the “hard way”--that’s what we do. We use real
wood chips and an actual smokehouse to smoke our Jurky and Deli
Slices instead of pouring in liquid smoke. We use real, organic
tofu not because it is easier but because we believe it makes a
better product. We are responsible to our customers first, not
Wall Street.
All of our products are certified vegan by the UK
Vegan Society,
use non genetically modified or organic ingredients and are packed
in 100% recycled paperboard packaging.
All products except Tofurky® Feast, Gravy and Stuffing are kosher certified by Kosher Services
of America.

Our Products:
All of Turtle Island's Tofurky® products are made
from a combination of Organic Tofu and Vital Wheat Gluten. This
symbiotic relationship between the soy and wheat gives our products
a bold, meat-like texture. If you tear a piece of Tofurky® Roast you
will notice that it shears at a 45 degree angle, like meat, not
at 90 degrees like other products. We use all natural, vegan
flavors without msg or hvp.
