Grilled BBQ Tempeh



Fire up your grill, it's BBQ Tempeh time!


2C Water
1/2 C Soy Sauce
1/4 C Apple cider vinegar
1t Garlic Puree
1t Ginger Puree
1T Sugar

1# Tempeh, cut in half lengthwise to make thinner, then cut into triangles
1C BBQ sauce


Bring first six ingredients (marinade) to a boil and reduce to simmer. Place cut Tempeh in marinade and cover. Simmer stirring occasionally for 20 minutes. Remove lid and pot from stove and let cool. For best flavor results this should be done a few hours prior to grilling. Remove Tempeh steaks from marinade and brush with BBQ. Place on a hot grill and mark well on both side. Baste with more BBQ sauce if desired.

Serve with your favorite grilled vegetables. Serves 4
