Summer Hot Dog Recipe

This quick and easy summer dogs recipe turns our Hot Dogs into a summer hit for the whole family! Let the sizzle of the hot dog and smell of the bake beans call those kids inside for you. Top with some minced jalapeno and a little cilantro or diced onions for the adults? Yum!

Makes 8 servings

what you’ll need:

1 cup prepared vegan baked beans
1 cup vegan cheddar shreds
½ cup diced yellow onion
8 hot dog buns, toasted
1 package Tofurky® Hot Dogs or Jumbo Dogs

how to make:

1. Grill hot dogs according to package directions. Remove from grill, slice lengthwise about ⅔ of the way through (without cutting all the way in half), and fill with cheddar shreds. Place back on the grill, cover, and cook until shreds are melted, about 2 minutes.
2. In a small pot over medium heat, warm beans until hot, about 4-5 minutes.
3. Place each hot dog in a toasted bun and top with baked beans and onions. If desired, add a little fresh minced jalapeno.

  1. that looks yum. I’d like a mexican fiesta dog with cheddar daya cheese, nacho chips (crunched), salsa verde, shredded lettuce (just a bit) & veggie mayo. Arrriba!
