LEMON BROIL

Good with salad and crusty rolls for lunch, or with potatoes and green beans or peas for dinner.

2 - 8 oz. packs of any style Turtle Island Tempeh
1 medium onion sliced into thin rings
1/3 cup lemon juice, freshly squeezed
1/3 cup olive oil
1/4 cup soy sauce
4 large cloves of garlic, pressed

  1. Cut Tempeh into thin squares as shown.
  2. Arrange Tempeh squares in a glass 9" x 13" baking dish.
  3. Mix in a small bowl the lemon juice, olive oil, soy sauce and garlic.
  4. Place onion rings over Tempeh squares and pour lemon juice mixture over everything. Marinate 4-6 hours, basting occasionally.
  5. Bake at 400 degrees for 25 minutes. Turn Tempeh pieces and broil for final 5 minutes of cooking. Serve hot, garnished with fresh parsley and lemon slices.
